15 healthy Barbecue Side Dish Recipes on the Healthy Living blog by Katie Webster of Healthy Seasonal Recipes

Hey folks. I guess I should introduce myself. I’m Katie and I write a food blog called Healthy Seasonal Recipes. I live right here in Chittenden County, and I am an avid Healthy Living shopper. Which is maybe one of the reasons I have recently had the honor of being asked to become a Healthy Living Taste Maker. That means you’ll probably be see more from me around these parts. You can also visit me over at my blog too. You’ll probably also find me in the wine section stocking up on rose, or filling up my travel mug with dark roast or possibly asking questions at the meat counter in the store. So be sure to say hello! I love chatting about cooking, and healthy eating. I also spend way too much time on social media, so please reach out there too!

Today, I wanted to share with you some of my very favorite summertime side dish recipes from my blog. Since the weather has warmed up a bit, I have been morphing our meals to grilled meats and fish with a few healthy side dishes. I haven’t been roasting or baking much at all lately. Instead I have been whipping together these simple healthy vegetable side dishes, grain salads and unexpected seasonal salads to go with the meal. Then the left-overs work for lunches or we can serve them for two nights if I’m really planning ahead. I’ve also been using these recipes on the weekends too because there seems to be some sort of potluck or barbecue going on every weekend lately.

QUESTIONS:

What are your favorite summertime side dishes?

What is your go-to to bring to a barbecue?

Have you tried the new pre-marinated meats from the meat department? We’ve had the Buffalo Chicken and the teriyaki chicken. Both were awesome!

Happy Cooking! (and grilling)
