The Healthy Living Learning Center, located in our beautiful building on Dorset Street, is growing and we are adding a new team member to this new and exciting space. We are currently hiring a Learning Center Assistant (LCA) to work alongside our Chef-Instructors throughout the planning process as well as the execution of our ever-changing classes and demonstrations.
The Learning Center Assistant is responsible for; set up of classes including but not limited to: preparing mise en plas for students and instructor, set up of classroom space, shopping and prep work. During classes the LCA will assist the instructor(s) by helping students as well as the instructor, keeping the classroom neat and organized as well as assisting in clean up after the completion of class.
This position offers the opportunity for advancement, including the opportunity to lead your own classes.
Applicants must posses the following: solid culinary skills (classical training in French technique is highly recommended); excitement and passion for food and a desire to teach and work with non-professional cooks on a daily basis; an interest in working with both kids and adults; a great attention to detail; excellent organizational skills; the ability to multitask; the ability to work at a fast pace while remaining calm and attentive; strong communication skills, an unwavering positive, upbeat attitude.
Due to our varied class schedule flexibility is extremely important. The position is approximately 16-20 hours per week, mostly afternoon and evening shifts. Weekend availability is a must.
Compensation: $10.00/hour

Grocery Stocker

We are currently hiring a Grocery Stocker. Grocery Stockers at HL are responsible for the maintenance of all products on thesales floor and in our back stock area as well as light merchandising of our end caps and various displays throughout the Grocery Department. The position requires a high attention to detail and the ability to self manage a task list and prioritize effectively to ensure that our customers receive the best experience possible.
You must LOVE people as our Grocery Stockers also spend a majority of their day interacting with our customers.
This position offers a stable schedule, consistent hours, the ability for growth and the opportunity to work in a creative, fun environment with the best crew in VT. We also offer a generous discount on all products — so you will be eating well!
The hours for this position are: Wednesday-Saturday, 8a – 4p.
Compensation: $9.50/hour
