If you’ve been thinking about taking cooking classes but something’s stopped you, perhaps it’s the common fear of the knife!  Learning theses very basic skills will enable you to chop, dice and mince like a professional.  In this introductory class Learning Center Chef-Instructor Nina Lesser-Goldsmith will teach you everything you need to know about the chef’s number one sidekick: the knife. You’ll handle a variety of knives, in all shapes, weights and sizes and discover which knife to use with different foods. You’ll learn how to hold your knife, to how to care for it and the best techniques for slicing and dicing.  All the hard work will pay off when we create a delicious Veggie Soup from our chop-happy trimmings.

On the Menu:

Classic Vegetable Potage with Parmesan Crips

This class costs $45 and is hands-on. To reserve your place in class, please register and check-out using our secure on-line system or call us at Healthy Living,802.863.2569 ext 1.
