The Art of Naturally Fermenting Vegetables with Ben Khabra

Come learn the art of fermentation! Fermenting vegetables at home is easy and can have a dramatic impact on your health and the health of your family.  Fermented foods contain an abundance of probiotics that help counteract the assault your gut endures on a daily basis.  They’re also delicious!

This is an interactive class where participants will benefit from learning to create a few fermented dishes, which they will take home to “tend to” and eventually eat!   We’ll make sauerkraut, dilly beans and if time permits, one other fermented vegetable dish. Make good on your New Year’s resolution and empower yourself by learning the age-old art of fermentation!

This class is suitable for anyone who is interested in making fermented vegetables and is able to use a sharp knife without supervision.  Should parents wish to bring older children to the class, this is a great way to introduce kids/ adolescents to the benefit of healthy eating.

About Ben: Ben Khabra is passionate about giving people the tools to take ownership of their health and wellbeing.  Motivated on this path years ago by his incredible son Jackson, Ben, his wife January and son Jackson have dedicated the past 8 years to studying and living a lifestyle which brings physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance and wellbeing.  Ben believes that the more knowledge we have about health and ourselves, the more we can shift our perspective and start making healthy choices in our lives.
