Sizzling Sausage Tasting with Picnic Provisions from Shelburne

A little history:
Matthew McNaughton had always enjoyed making sausage at his home, and often shared his bounty with friends and neighbors. When one of those friends suggested that a wider audience might enjoy the fruits of his labor, McNaughton began to research what he could do to take his hobby to a higher level.
After talking to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, McNaughton decided to rent a room at the Mad River Food Hub in Waitsfield, which has all the Department-certified machines he needs to turn out his product. Once he was set at the Hub, he reserved a space at the Shelburne Farmer’s Market, where his business, Picnic Provisions, has been a presence for the last two years.
