Fresh Yuca– Who knew? Yuca (YOO-ka) is a versatile vegetable, starchy and a bit sweet, while Yucca (YUHK-ka) is an unrelated, mostly ornamental plant. Similar to a potato, yuca is a root vegetable, excellent mashed, baked, or fried. Also known as cassava, yuca is a favorite of Caribbean, Central & South American, and African cultures.

Organic Plantains– Closely related to bananas, plantains are starchier than their cousins, and beloved in many cultures. They are sweet and ripe when they are completely black, use them a little sooner than that for traditional fried plantains.

Organic Romanesco– This otherworldly Italian vegetable is closely related to cauliflower. It tastes very similar but is firmer in texture and nuttier in flavor.  Use in any recipe that calls for cauliflower for a beautiful visual effect!
