Organic Nectarines, Fresh Rainier Cherries, and Organic Plums – All the delicious stone fruit is coming in and it’s a great season already. Stone fruit refers to the pit (or stone) and the best way to judge ripeness is to look for firm, unblemished fruit that has a sweet smell! If you are looking at cherries, check the stems, if they look dried out the cherries are past their prime. Rainier cherries are a yellow variety that have a clean, sweet, almost citrusy flavor.
