Kids in the Kitchen: Veggie Lo Mein
Who needs Chinese take-out? Kids are cooking up their own veggie-packed lo mein noodles and learning some useful kitchen skills as they go. We’ll be chopping up tons of local veggies while refining our knife skills and learn all about sautéing. Plus, we’ll discuss the fifth basic flavor: umami—that means “pleasant savory taste”. Lo mein is a fabulous gateway dish to ethnic food that’ll get your kids inspired to cook at home!
