VT Sandwich Maker (Full Time)
What’s better than a giant, crusty sandwich? I mean, really…you just can’t go wrong with bread, cheese and a meaty substance. If you have this very same philosophy – this might be the perfect job for you! We are searching for a passionate, sandwich lovin’ individual to fulfill our Sandwich Maker role! This individual will be responsible for the preparation of delectable sandwiches that range from eclectic to classic that include vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and meat-loving options.
The excellent sandwich maker will pay extreme attention to the quality and freshness of every slice of meat, tofu, cheese and veggie; every smear of mayo, mustard and veganaise that graces the presence of the bread, wrap or gluten-free bread. This individual will fill each order efficiently and with deliberate attention to time, all while maintain each sandwiches’ individual greatness. The most excellent sandwich maker is a team player and ALWAYS communicates his/her needs to the supervisor, Sous Chef and Executive Chef.

VT Cashier (Part Time)
We are seeking energetic and motivated team players to work in our busy Front End as a Cashier. The Front End at Healthy Living is the “final experience” for our guests and is built around strong, professional and friendly hospitality. Overnight Grocery Stockers at Healthy Living are responsible for the maintenance of all products on the sales floor and in our back stock area as well as light merchandising of our end caps and various displays throughout the Grocery Department. VT Produce Associate (Full Time / Part Time)

Our Prep Cooks are responsible for completing prep lists that aid in the preparation of a range of culinary delights from eclectic to classic that include vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and meat-loving options. These items are part of our hot bar, a la carte program, deli cases, as well as our “grab and go” case. Our Prep team is also responsible for cleanliness of the kitchen, and assists with ensuring a clean and well-stocked salad station, as necessary.

VT AP Specialist (Part Time)

We’re looking for an AP Specialist, the person responsible for assisting our accounting office with daily tasks to ensure timely payment of invoices and office organization. You’ll be part of a dynamic company that boasts 30 years of solid growth, lots of staff happiness, and amazing customer loyalty.
- Qualifications: High School diploma required, Associates degree in business or accounting preferred. At least 1 year previous Accounting or business office experience
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Sets up new vendors accurately and timely in the financial system and performs vendor maintenance
- Ensures accurate and timely input and electronic filing of all incoming invoices
- Ensures accuracy of payment by reconciling all checks to the invoices and/or reviewing check run information from a third party vendor
- Ensures all weekly checks are stamped and mailed out in a timely manner
- Ensures accurate electronic filing, maintaining consistency with naming conventions and file locations
- Responsible for the weekly AP run
- Tracks and communicates AP payments due, outstanding and issued
- Researches vendor payment inquiries to assist with reconciliation of statements
- Assists with mail sort

VT Kitchen Steward (Part Time)
The Kitchen Steward plays a unique and central role for the entire café team. The Kitchen Steward takes great care and pride in ensuring that the café BOH is kept to the highest sanitation standards. This is done by ensuring that general sanitation and deep cleaning of the kitchen and walk-in coolers is completed on a regular basis. The Kitchen Steward also plays a vital in to ensure product freshness and quality. She/he is responsible for putting away all of the café delivery’s and rotating all product in a FIFO method. The Kitchen Steward also helps to support the Dishwashers (who are the backbone of the kitchen operation) and is responsible for dishwashing approximately 40% of his/her shift to cover high volume times and breaks.
The excellent Kitchen Steward knows that sanitation in the kitchen is of the utmost importance. He/she knows that it is his/her job to ensure the safety of our guests and staff by maintaining a clean kitchen that could pass a health inspection with flying colors any day of the week. The Excellent Kitchen Steward maintains a well organized walk-in where FIFO (First In First Out) is their mantra. Food is clearly labeled and cooks can easily find everything they are looking for in a flash. Food in our storage areas is always fresh and cared for with the utmost respect. The excellent Kitchen Steward always follows the standards set by the Dept of Health for proper cleaning and food storage procedures.
The best candidates will have great attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and kitchen experience is preferred.
