Established in 2003, Champlain Valley Creamery handcrafts certified organic cheese in  Middlebury, Vermont.  With a graduate degree in food science and a background in wine and hard cider making, Carleton Yoder was eager to run his own business and in Vermont, small-scale cheesemaking was a natural progression.

The milk for the cheese comes from a single herd of crossbred Jersey and Holstein cows in nearby Bridport, Vermont.  The creamery is certified organic by Vermont Organic Farmers (VOF). Using traditional techniques, including moving milk in 10 gallon cans and small batch pasteurization, cheeses are produced entirely by hand.  We are proud to carry the Champlain Triple, Queso Fresco and the Old Fashioned Cream Cheese.  The 4oz Champlain Triple cheese is on sale for $3.99 each (reg. $5.49) until 12/30/14.  A great cheese to use on your next holiday cheese plate!
