A Day in the Dirt with Healthy Living Staff
On Saturday, May 3rd, a group of Healthy Living staff headed to Ethan Allen Homestead in the New North End of Burlington to prep a garden space to be tilled and planted in.
As part of the Vermont Community Gardening Network‘s (VCGN) second annual Day In The Dirt, our team removed a fence, dug up burlap sacks, salvaged wood chips and pulled up large rocks and debris from our assigned site. Here is our team in action:
Ashley, our Lead Dairy Buyer, moves a wooden post from the fence into a pile to save the wood.

A huge thank you to all those who volunteered to clean up gardens all around Burlington on Saturday, and to the VCGN for hosting such a fun event. We look forward to future days in the dirt with our team!
