A Rowdy Beer for a Rowdy Winter!

When winter hits I look for the biggest, boldest beer on the shelf to comfort me in between those frigid ski days! Lately what fits the bill is a Belgian quadruple.

Victory Brewing in Pennsylvania delivers with “V Twelve.” Their take on a Belgian quad.

Fruity fig, burnt caramel, booze, and vanilla notes on the nose…

Caramelized fruits come to mind. Maybe soaked or roasted in brandy. Heaping booze note makes this pretty heady. Lots of dark fruit, candied orange, and caramel and toffee. Hints of grated spices and it almost has a maraschino cherry vibe to it.

Big and strong. Still has some bite in the effervescence. A surefire sipper. Enjoy!
