Apothic Dark
Come over to the Dark side…
Inspired by “Apotheca,” a mysterious place where wine was blended and stored in 13th century Europe, the wines of Apothic are truly unique in style and taste. To craft Apothic wines, winemaker Debbie Juergenson looks for a unique blend of grapes to create intense aromas and bold flavors. Each vintage, she lets the grapes guide the way from the vine to the cellar, crafting a collection of unforgettable wines, including Apothic Red, White, Dark and a limited selection of seasonal releases.
Apothic Dark is a treat with its Gothic appearing label, the bottle seems to fit perfectly with the season of Halloween! The grapes used for the Dark blend, were sustainably farmed in Lodi, California and include Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Teroldego; the 2014 growing season providing ideal conditions for a harvest of perfectly ripe fruit. Dark purple in the glass and 14% alcohol, there is no doubt that this is a big wine! Flavors of black fruit, blueberries and blackberries, with hints of coffee and chocolate, followed by a smooth, velvety mouthfeel make this wine perfect for the season. Pair this with a nice pot roast and veggies, or a delicious, wild mushroom risotto (Recipe on our website!), or pair this versatile wine with any of your favorite fall dishes!
At $11.99 per bottle Apothic Dark is a steal! We only have a limited quantity of this wine, so stop in and grab a bottle or two while it’s in stock!
