Big Truck Day – Children’s Museum at Saratoga Springs

Big Truck Day at the Maple Avenue Middle School in Saratoga Springs was such a fun event. Healthy Living was happy to be a sponsor of this amazing day. The weather was picture perfect and the kids and parents had lots of smiles on their faces. This event is a fundraiser for the Children’s Museum at Saratoga Springs. Executive Director Michelle Smith told us that there were over 2,400 paid admissions which is a record for their event.

Big Truck Day is a little and big kids dream. Local organizations donated their time and vehicles as they rolled their trucks into the parking lot to let the kids check them out up close. Some kids got to climb in the driver seats, play with the steering wheel, and even beep the horns! There were lots of fire trucks, buses, cement trucks, dump trucks, emergency vehicles and even an armored bank truck.
Healthy Living’s Learning Center Director Shannon Beckwith made some amazing home made granola and handed out recipe cards to kids and parents.
We also served organic watermelon, organic grapes, organic apples, and organic bananas too. People loved the refreshing fruit and they appreciated the ice water we served too.
Kids crafts were popular at our tables too. Bean art was in full effect! Kids made bean art mosaics and had a ball. Trisha, our companies Service Lead made this awesome example.
Healthy Living loved being part of Big Truck Day! It was super fun and it benefited a great organization in The Children’s Museum at Saratoga. Vroom, vroom, beep, beep!
