Bread and Butter Farm Burger Night and Greenhouse Update!

Have you ever been to Bread and Butter Farm’s Burger Night? Last week some Healthy Living staff members took a field trip to the farm to indulge in one of their famous burgers. We were greeted in the farms driveway by two draft horses pulling a wagon, eager to take farm-goers to the Burger Night festivities. The smells of juicy, delicious grass fed burgers from the farm wafted from the grills and the mouthwatering scents of fresh baked bread drifted out the windows of the on-farm bakery. Burger Night attendees waited in line to get their hands on a scrumptious burger as well as fresh salad greens grown in the farms greenhouse and delicious cookies! The farm sets up picnic tables for guests to dine while listening to live music. All and all it was a terrific way to end a work day; I would highly recommend checking one out! They are every Monday and Friday nights from 4:30 to 7:30 for the remainder of July and then Friday nights from 4:30 to 7:30 during August.

We also saw the progress made on the greenhouse Healthy Living is sponsoring! The hoops are up and they look great! The next step is to put the sides on which will probably happen in the next few weeks. We invite you to join us for a greenhouse opening celebration in conjunction with Burger Night on Friday, August 31 from 4:30-7:30- full of kids activities and free food!
