COVID-19 Update 3/18/2020
March 18, 2020
A message from Katy, Nina, and Eli:
We feel it’s important that we stay in touch to let you know about changes, plans, and news at HL. We are working as quickly and thoughtfully as we can to respond to the ever-changing landscape of life with COVID-19. Here are things we as a team have put in place for the safety of our guests and our staff.
- As of yesterday we have temporarily shut down our hot and salad bars. Seating is closed to minimize large numbers of people gathering – this is to keep everyone safe. Thanks for your understanding.
- Our kitchens are being professionally cleaned.
- New packaged items are being created in our cafe. Available for take out only. Check out some excellent new products!
- We’re packaging all our baked goods (because now IS the time for cake!) and we are also serving all our sandwiches pre-wrapped.
- We have disposable gloves for guest (and staff) use at the registers, in our bulk section, and all around the store. Please dispose of them safely when you are done.
- Staff will be reminded to stop and sanitize at regular 20 minute intervals throughout the day.
- We are keeping our operating hours unchanged. This reduces lines and crowds and allows everyone to shop at their favorite time.
- To support seniors, folks with compromised immune systems, and anyone who has chosen to self-quarantine, we offer these options:
- Use www.healthylivingtogo.com
to order your groceries online with curbside pick up. - Call us if you don’t want to order online and we’ll be happy to put your order together for you. We’re very skilled shoppers!
- And if you’d like delivery, we can make that happen.
- Use www.healthylivingtogo.com
We’re continuing to take the very best care of our staff. These are people who are on the front lines, keeping the store stocked, checking you out at the registers, cooking, cleaning, doing orders, receiving product….these are the warriors that we’re grateful for every day. Today more than ever! So please remember when you’re in the store to give our staff the 6′ distance required. Staff is the reason food is on the shelf, rung up at registers, checked in at receiving, and more. These are the people who make it all possible and we want to ensure their well-being. Thank you so much for helping us take care of them!
Be well,
Katy, Eli, and Nina
