Front End Fundraiser October 2014: Taylor’s Heroes

This month our Front End Fundraiser is supporting Taylor’s Heroes. This amazing local not-for-profit works to help our Community by promoting fitness and nutrition to children in Saratoga. When you come into the store to shop just let your cashier know that you would like to donate! As usual, 100% off all funds raised will go to Taylor’s Heroes.

About Taylor’s Heroes from their website:

Taylor’s Heroes is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides fitness and nutrition programs to children who want to lead a more active and healthy lifestyle. The organization was founded in memory of Taylor Miller, who was a Saratoga Springs High School graduate who was killed in Afghanistan in a suicide bomb attack on June 21, 2010.

Taylor’s Heroes accepts children ages 8-18 for a fun, FREE, 3-month program that includes weekly classes with a personal trainer, nutrition classes, 2 new sports/activities to try and the chance to win valuable gift cards at the end of the program.

We work closely with local organizations, like the Saratoga YMCA, to create a program that fits each child’s interests, and will give them the best chance for success. Families also receive nutritional counseling and cooking classes.

Taylor’s Heroes is completely free to the children we accept into the program. We are committed to helping as many children and families as we can so spread the word!
