Giving Back this January with 1% For The Planet

We’re excited to partner with 1% For The Planet, an environmental organization located in Burlington VT for a special January promotion to highlight a few brands that give back to the planet.

1% For The Planet is a global network of 1,200 member businesses and thousands of approved nonprofit partners located in more than 40 countries that focus on the most pressing issues facing the environment. “Our Members take responsibility for the health of our planet by giving to nonprofits who are making positive change. Consumers can make change too by purchasing products with the 1% For The Planet logo” says Kate Williams, CEO of 1% For The Planet.

During the entire month of January, we will be featuring four 1% For The Planet members that are sold in our store on an end cap display in both our South Burlington, VT and Saratoga, NY stores. The brands consists of a broad range of products and include Pukka Herbs, Nature’s Path Envirokidz, Spindrift, and U Konserve.

1% For The Planet Members donate at least 1% of their annual sales directly to approved environmental nonprofits. The organization advises and supports Members in developing nonprofit partnerships and provides credible 3rd party certification for their giving.

There are thousands of nonprofits from around the world in the network such as Non-GMO Project, B-Corp, and Fair Trade USA, and more locally such as Common Roots (VT), Burlington School Food Project (VT), Intervale Center (VT), Scenic Hudson (NY), Fund for Lake George (NY), National Young Farmers Coalition (NY), and the Northeast Organic Farming Association.

This partnership is a great opportunity to highlight the importance of giving back to our planet.
