Healthy Living Loves Local: Adams Turkey Farm

 

HL’s Meat Department is honoring Adams Turkey Farm as part of the Healthy Living Loves Local Celebration!  Since 1981 Dave and Judy Adams have run this family owned, diversified farm in Westford,VT, raising free-range turkeys and chickens, growing vegetables and Christmas trees and selling their own maple products.

In their first year of farming they raised and sold around 100 turkeys.  Now, with the addition of a processing facility on the farm, that number is over 2,000!

Turkeys have been a mainstay on the farm for some time, but in 2001 the Adams decided to take on the task of raising chickens. They started by selling them directly from the farm and are now in co-ops and health food stores like Healthy Living! Like turkeys, the number of chickens raised and sold has seen tremendous growth over the years.

Both the chickens and turkeys at the farm are raised on fresh water, fresh grain and fresh air! Healthy Living’s Meat Department is proud to offer delicious free range turkey and chicken from Adams Turkey Farm!  Stop by today to pick up some of their tasty poultry—perfect for the grill!
