Meet Deb and Jim Morris from Barkeater Chocolates. Here is their story:

What’s in a name? Barkeater, a Mohawk Indian term, is named after the mountains they belong to. Nestled in the heart of the Adirondacks in North Creek New York – near the base of Gore Mountain ski area, mouthwatering gourmet chocolate confections are handmade using a European process in small batches in a variety of explosive flavors.

Our story begins with a passion for quality chocolate. It continues with a vision of a small town in rural America finding itself in the infancy stages of a commerce explosion. After years in the media industry in New York’s Capital Region, Deb Morris & her husband Jim decided it was time to turn passion and vision into reality. Deb studied under chocolatiers and pastry chefs and began to create artisan truffles with wholesome ingredients and unique flavors, while Jim tackled the business plan. After each batch of truffles, Deb & Jim would discreetly place them on tables at gatherings and parties to gauge guests’ reactions. You can imagine the results. And so Barkeater Chocolates near Gore Mountain in the Adirondacks was born.

We carry a wonderful selection of Barkeater Chocolates products and if you would like additional information please check out their website.
