Healthy Living Loves Local: Jamtastic Jams

What better way to celebrate the changing of the seasons than cozying up with a cup of something warm, and a freshly toasted slice of bread slathered in butter and jam?  Why not take it to the next level and try using some of the best damn jam you’ve ever eaten?

 

Jamtastic Jams, out of Rupert, VT, is the creation of Ross Warren and is arguably the best jam in the universe.  In flavors that include Wild Maine Blueberry, Bourbon Peach (a jar of which one unnamed HL staff member reportedly ate in one sitting with a spoon..) and ‘Hot 4 Habanero’ Strawberry or Cranberry.  These jams boast such incredible zest and flavor that they need not be relegated to tea time and breakfast toast- Ross recommends trying them as a glaze on pork, beef or chicken; a dollop on top of some goat cheese or brie; or any other recipe that your imagination leads you to!
