Healthy Living Loves Local: Square Deal Farm

It’s no secret that one of Vermont’s greatest gifts to the world is our incredible maple syrup. Here in the Grocery department, we celebrate this incredible commodity by selling exclusively locally crafted maple syrup, maple candies and maple sugar.

Square Deal Farm is a family farm, owned and operated by Ray Lewis in Walden, VT.  Ray uses only wood and no reverse osmosis to heat sap from his maple trees which are grown using certified organic means.  His artisanal methods produce some of the best syrup we’ve tasted, and a maple sugar that we use in-house for recipes that call for it in our bakeshop and meat department.
