Healthy Living Loves Local: Washington County Cheese Tour

The Washington County Cheese Tour
The Washington County Cheese Tour

Members of our Saratoga Cheese Department enjoyed an absolutely beautiful Sunday visiting local Cheesemakers on the final day of The Washington County Cheese Tour.

The  self-guided tour takes place each September. If you didn’t make it this year you should pencil it in your calendar so you don’t miss out next year.  The very special activities include cheese making demos, tours of the facilities and educational demonstrations.  Local farms on The Tour this year included Considered Bardwell Farm (West Pawlet),  Sugarloaf Farm (Fort Ann), Argyle Cheese Farmer (Argyle), Longview Farm (Argyle), Sweet Spring Farm (Argyle) and 3 Corner-Field Farm (Shushan).

We’d like to share some images from The Cheese Tour with you and hope to see you next time round.  In the meantime you can visit our Cheese Department to try a taste of  these wonderful local cheeses.
