HL Fun at the Firecracker 4

Runners took to the streets in their red, white and blue this passed Thursday for the 7th annual Firecracker 4 in Downtown Saratoga. Healthy Living was there with snacks, delicious demos, and ice cold water for racers and spectators.

The Freedom Hawk Band rocked out at the finish close to where we were set up. The live music was fantastic!

Racers headed to the start line to start racing at 9am. Over 3500 racers took to the streets of Saratoga on this sunny and hot day. Eight of the racers were Healthy Living staff!

The four mile race took runners through downtown Saratoga with the finish just behind the City Center. The first runner flew through the course and clocked in at 19:57. The first place finisher is in the photo below right next to the boy in blue spectating from high up on his dad’s shoulders.

We had a front row seat to the finish and runners stopped by next door to our tent to check out their finishing times.

Excellent job, runners, who stuck through the heat and came out strong. We had a blast talking to everyone and handing out many bars post race to help runners refuel. Thank you to all of those who stopped by and said hello to us!
