Moccagatta Bric Balin Barbaresco

original

The 2010 Barbaresco, Bric Balin, by Moccagatta is in! Rated a 94+ in June by Wine Advocate’s Robert Parker, this Nebbiolo continues to show more and more potential over the years.

A ‘full-throttle’ Barbaresco, the 2010 vintage is packed with black fruit, spice, leather, tar, tobacco and licorice. Dark and rich on the forefront, you will be pleasantly surprised when you notice a playful touch of sweet cherry on the finish. An absolutely powerful and delicious wine right now, but we recommend you give it more time. Robert Parker estimates the maturity of this wine to be between 2017 and 2027 in order for it to reach its true potential!

A family run vineyard, the Minuto family has been growing their grapes since the 1800s, starting with Giovanni Minuto, passing down the family business from father to sons for generations. Today, Francesco and Sergio carry on the family business with intense passion. Their vineyards produce such varietals as: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, and Chardonnay; producing a combined 65,000 bottles of wine per year from their vineyards.

Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, then aged in French oak for 18 months, this is a gem that will continue to increase over time.

16,000 bottles produced.
