New 2013 Stone Collaboration Beer

Stone Brewing Co. has just released another 2013 Collaboration beer: Stone R&R Coconut IPA! Created by home-brewers Robert Masterson and Ryan Reschan, R&R Coconut IPA is a refreshingly tropical change for you IPA-fanatics!

Brewed with 280 pounds of coconut and multiple hop varieties (Centennial, Calypso, Amarillo, Simcoe, Helga and Belma), this is an ale that will tickle your sense of wonder. Pouring clear with a deep golden color and a cream-colored head of foam, aromatics of coconut and tropical fruit stand out. On the palate is coconut, mixed tropical fruits (from the hop varieties) and a creamy malt to add balance. Finish is bitter, dry and hoppy, as you expect with any Stone beer, but has a lingering playful taste of tropical fruits.
