Citrus, cheese, eggnog, repeat—that’s the way of the winter warrior… or at least the kind who likes to indulge in the season’s finer things. We have a whole host of new delights the store and we want to share all the goodness with you! From Cara Cara Oranges, a Pale Truffle Burrata (pause. Let that sink in), and grab n’ go gift sets, this is what’s new at Healthy Living!

Produce

Organic Cara Cara Navel Oranges: Staff favorites just keep on coming! We love Cara Cara navels for their delicious flavor and gorgeous pink color. Cara Cara are unique because the acid content is lower than regular Navel Oranges , which makes the sweeter and more bitter flavors of the orange stand out! A wonderfully complex citrus.

Guava: Immensely popular all over the world, guava is a nutritional powerhouse of a fruit with a distinctly tropical flavor. A single guava can have up to 4x the Vitamin C of an orange, and sports a low glycemic index to boot—which is to say, it doesn’t have a ton of sugar!

Organic Sungold Kiwi: Gold kiwi are larger and sweeter than their green cousins. All kiwi have edible skin, but the skin of gold kiwi is much less fuzzy, which makes eating the fiber-rich skin a lot more pleasant!

Refrigerated/Frozen

Doctor D’s Organic Water Kefir: This Certified Organic probiotic is low in sugar and delicious. Water kefir is a wide-spectrum probiotic beverage made with kefir cultures. Because it’s a live fermented beverage, it also can contain a variety of enzymes, beneficial acids, a range of B vitamins, vitamin K, and folic acid. Doctor D’s are all made with reverse osmosis water.

Field Roast Vegan Appetizer and Entrees: Field Roast’s vegan grain “meats” now have a new frozen line of vegan appetizers. Miniature Corn Dogs harken back to county fairs, amusement parks and summertime fun. They begin with their Field Roast Frankfurters, dunk them in traditional sweet cornbread batter and crisp to perfection. The next up are the FRuffalo Wings. They start with the Field Roast Smoked Apple Sage Sausage cut on a bias, lightly battered, and fried to perfection. Last but not least are the Katsu Cutlets. An all-American classic country-style breaded steak turns Japanese and merges with a traditionally Katsu-style cutlet. A sliced steak of Original Lentil Sage Field Roast battered and breaded with their seasonings, bread crumbs, and sunflower seeds.

Pika’s Farm Table- A family-run business located in Lake Katrine, New York along the Hudson River, where they recreate delicious meals inspired by their European heritage. They work closely with local Hudson Valley farmers. They never use any preservatives, trans fats, or hydrogenated oils, but instead choose real and clean ingredients. We have many options available including: Quiche, Risotto Cakes, Soups, Pot Pies, and their authentic Liege waffles.

Cheese

Long Clawson Blue Stilton Crocks: These are available for a limited time only through the holidays. Loved the world over, Stilton is a classic English cheese, sometimes called the The King of English Cheeses. Long Clawson has been producing Stilton for over 100 years. There are just six dairies in the world licensed to make Blue Stilton cheese. This cheese is an excellent pairing with port or sweet wines. This holiday exclusive is beautifully packaged for gift giving in a decorative stone crock with lid.

Rising Sun Farms Gorgonzola Cheese Torta- A limited-time-only holiday item! This creation is a blend of silky cream cheese and tangy gorgonzola, sweet pears, and dried cranberries, topped with toasted hazelnuts and cranberries. Not completely sweet, not completely savory, this torta can be served as an appetizer or dessert. The flavors are a perfect match with fresh fruit, crackers or crusty bread.

Maplebrook Truffle Burrata- This item has very limited availability. Strands of fresh pulled mozzarella are soaked in cream, mixed with earthy black truffles and enveloped in a pocket of fresh mozzarella. They’re then packed in sea salt brine. This pairs well with a Barolo, Sangiovese, Prosecco, or a Belgian-style Tripel.
