Produce Tip of the Week : Avocados

Did you know that Avocados are actually a large berry!? They are grown throughout the world in semi-tropical regions and are valued as a food, medicine, and beauty aid. Nutritionally, Avocados are rich in Monounsaturated fats, a very healthy fat for the body. Avocados also have 60% more potassium than bananas. They are rich in B Vitamins, as well as Vitamin E and Vitamin K. Try making your own Guacamole, in slices on top of a salad, or in a smoothie.
