Pumpkin Challenge Road Race and The Ballston Spa Family Fall Festival
Healthy Living and Cafe was proud to sponsor two great events this weekend; The Pumpkin Challenge Road Race and the Ballston Spa Family Fall Festival.
The 13th annual Pumpkin Challenge Road race is a 5k/10k and was held in the Saratoga Spa State Park. We were on site greeting the runners and volunteers with snacks, water, a gift card giveaway, and Healthy Living and Cafe water bottles that are BPA-free!
This event raises money for Saratoga Bridges, a nonprofit organization that helps people with developmental disabilities and their families. The race was capped at 2,000 participants and race officials said they were hoping to raise over $20,000. We had a wonderful experience and were glad to be part of it all!
The Ballston Spa Family Fall Festival was held at the Ellms Family Farm in Ballston Spa, NY. This amazing event was organized by the Ballston Spa Central School District with partial proceeds from the event being donated by Ellms Farms to benefit the Ballston Spa Partnership for Innovation in Education Fund, a component fund of the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region. The district’s fund directly supports the students in the Ballston Spa schools, including programs and initiatives such as Sponsor-A-Scholar, STEM enrichment programs, robotics teams, fine & performing arts, the Ballston Spa Alumni Network and the Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School.
Ellms Family Farm is a wonderful venue for family events like this. Healthy Living is carrying their pumpkins in store too! Ellms Farm has a ton of kid friendly activities. They have a corn maze, Giant Jumping Pillow, the MooMooChooChoo, zip lines, adult and kiddie pedal carts, an obstacle course, big and kiddie slides, trolley rides, chalk n’ paint, and farm animals to feed. Ellms also has delicious apple cider donuts and snacks too!
Healthy Living and Cafe was on site and met hundreds of smiling families and kiddos. We had lots of snacks, cool green Healthy Living sunglasses, and a gift card raffle. Thank you to the Ballston Spa School District for putting on an amazing event!
