Fresh Strawberry Balsamic Salsa

  • 1 pint strawberries, stemmed and sliced
  • 4 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 TB full-bodied red wine
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Serve with whipped cream or mascarpone or as a condiment with grilled or roast pork. Makes 2 cups
