Protein-Packed Cheesy Dip
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a blend of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
- 1 small can (4 oz) diced green chilies
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish, chopped
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add the cottage cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk to the pan, stirring constantly until the cheese melts and the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in the diced green chilies, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt and pepper.
- Continue to cook and stir until the dip reaches your desired consistency. Add more milk if needed to thin it out.
- Once smooth and creamy, remove from heat and serve immediately.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro
- Serve with tortilla chips, nachos, or as a topping for tacos or burritos!
