Teriyaki Sauce

  • 1 cup rice syrup
  • ¾ cup tamari soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. brown rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic; minced
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger; minced or grated
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds

Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan and simmer together until thickened, about 10 minutes. Cool and use as a marinade for tofu, meat, or vegetables. Any remaining marinade can be brought to a boil and used as a sauce.
