Spotlight on Honey Drop Beverages

Icy Cold Honey Drop Beverages

Rachel from Honey Drop Beverages has been here at Healthy Living lately sampling their new and improved honey sweetened drinks. Feedback from customers has been great! Their new glass bottles are beautiful! I wanted to share something about Honey Drop because of their commitment to the honey bee who they are most certainly indebted to with this product.  Read on to find out what Honey Drop is doing to save the honey bee.

Honeydrop is a line of ready to drink,  fresh brewed teas and juices made with a tablespoon of pure honey, never any white or refined sugars. All of the drinks are 70-90 calories per bottle and contain fresh tea leaves, herbs (like ginger and chamomile) and juices like Blueberry and Blood Orange. They are bottled in a 14oz glass custom bottle. Honey Drop Beverages is a family owned company.

Additionally, because so much honey is used, HDB recently started a program called “Buy A Bottle — Save A Bee” where they are contributing funds from every bottle sold to local bee keepers to build more hives. The program is a simple tool for consumers to help fight Colony Collapse Disorder in their local market. This is a major issue for Healthy Living (and all of us, globally) as bees pollinate a 1/3rd of all produce but are dying at an alarming rate. In Vermont Honey Drop has partnered with Ross Conrad, Dancing Bee Gardens, to build and maintain new hives from the proceeds that are donated. Every new hive increases the bee population by 40-60K bees … making the program a simple solution for all consumers to help.

Rachel will be back at Healthy Living on August 24th from 4:00-6:00 and again on Sunday, August 28th from 11:00-1:00.  Stop by, say hello, sample this terrific drink and help to save the honey bee with your purchase.
