Stone Farking Wheaton WootStout Collaboration

Beer geeks and comic geeks alike rejoice as three very unusual individuals come together to create a one-of-a-kind beer in this newly released collaboration ale between Wil Wheaton, Drew Curtis (from Fark.com), and Stone Brewing Company! Woot Stout is an intense Imperial Stout brewed with pecans, wheat and rye that is then one quarter aged in Bourbon Barrels. With an alcohol volume content of 13% per 22oz bottle, it’s not an ale that is for the faint of heart, or the faint of palate.

It pours deep brownish-black with a creamy brown head. Oakey and nutty on the nose, it’s rich and luxurious on the palate with notes of vanilla, toast, and bitter chocolate, while the Bourbon barrel aging is prominent throughout.

We recommend pairing this intense stout with a coffee rubbed sirloin, grilled portabella mushroom caps or save it for dessert with some dense dark chocolate brownies or a slice of heavenly German-chocolate cake. This is a sipper, and is also enjoyed well with a hearty cigar. Drink now or cellar; this beer will last for as long…or as little, as you want it to!
