Tree Planting with the Intervale Center and Lake Champlain Land Trust
In our ongoing partnership and support of the Intervale Conservation Nursery, we were happy to partner with them and sponsor a tree planting on November 7th at the Vermont Zen Center in Shelburne. Roughly 50 volunteers came together on this project, planting 300 trees on the land that is now conserved by the Lake Champlain Land Trust. When the trees mature, they will help prevent soil erosion and runoff on this delicate piece of land along the LaPlatte River. The LaPlatte River empties into Shelburne Bay, the source of drinking water for over 60,000 residents.
We’re thrilled to support this restoration planting project as part of our continued partnership with the Intervale Center and Intervale Conservation Nursery. We love supporting our community and the organizations who serve them!
You can read more about this project on the Intervale’s blog.
