Vermont Restaurant Week

Have you heard about Vermont’s own Restaurant Week next week from May 14-20?  Participating restaurants from across the state will be offering prix-fixe menus showcasing their chefs’ greatest dishes.  These menus will feature discounted, three-course “tasting-style” dinners priced at $15, $25 or $35 per person.  The week will also include a special calendar of food-related events.

One of those events will be a panel discussion titled Food in the 21st Century: Vermont and Beyond, hosted by The Essex, Vermont’s Culinary Resort and Spa.  Panelists will talk about how American foodways are changing and evolving in the 21st century, and Vermont’s role in that process.  Panelists will include local luminaries James Beard award-winning author Rowan Jacobsen, and cheese expert Jeff Roberts, as well as Kristen Kimbell, co-owner of Essex Farm in New York; and Chef Rob Evans, owner of Hugo’s and Duckfat in Portland, Main and the recipient of the 2009 James Beard Foundation award for the Best Chef Northeast.

Healthy Living was able to secure a handful of tickets to give away to our customers.  Register here for your chance to win!
