Wine of the Week – Bliss Family Vineyards Schoolhouse Red
In the time of huge multinational corporations controlling a large portion of the wine that hits the shelves it’s refreshing to find new and exciting wines that are high quality, delicious, affordable and still family run. Bliss Family Vineyards is a sustainably farmed third generation winery out of Mendocino, California.
The Schoolhouse Red is a blend of Cabernet, Zinfandel, Merlot and Syrah. It combines dark berry fruit on the nose with a rich mouth feel bursting with fruit. The finish is surprisingly long and complex with good structure for its humble price.
Try this with pizza, pasta or hearty meats.
