Wine of the Week – St. Supery Sauvignon Blanc 2009

When it comes to summer sippers there are few wines better than Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp, clean and refreshing these wines lend themselves well to simple salads, white fish or just sitting on the porch in the sun!

St. Supery is a family run winery in the Napa valley. The grapes come from sustainably farmed vineyards in Rutherford. The winery is certified fish friendly and a certified green winery of Napa. They take steps to recycle rainwater and use their own compost to fertilize the vineyards.

St. Supery Sauvignon Blanc has been a longtime favorite of ours with its wonderful aromas of grapefruit, lemon, lime and freshly cut grass.  The flavors follow through on the palate with racy acidity to keep the fruit in check.
