9 Healthy Kale Recipes
Hi it’s Katie from Healthy Seasonal Recipes. I am a food blogger here in Vermont and I blog about eating locally and in season. I am a tastemaker at Healthy Living, Burlington and today I have 9 healthy kale recipes to share with you all.
I am not sure it is possible to walk through the Healthy Living produce department without picking up a single produce item. Sometimes I’ll be just heading to the cafe for a cup of dark roast and not even intending to buy anything from the produce area at all. But then I’ll see something beautiful and fresh on display and I just loose my mind for a little bit. Oh the tomatoes! Look at the melon! Yesterday it was a bag of tiny perfect golden plums and two bags of local peaches. Tomorrow who knows what it will be.
Even if I have a clear plan what’s on the menu for the week, I like to leave plenty of wiggle room to buy whatever looks best when I get there. Lately I have been marveling at the local greens and especially all of the varieties of kale! Have you seen them all? There are so many different kinds from various local farms. Red Russian from Knee Deep farm, baby kale from Unity Farm, there’s classic green curly and lacinato too.
