Classic Cranberry Sauce with a twist of Orange
- ¾ cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 Tbsp orange zest
- Juice of 1 orange
- 2 Tbsp Grand Marnier or Triple Sec (optional)
In a medium sauce pot, combine water, sugar, cranberries, salt, orange juice and zest. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the cranberries have all burst. Remove from the heat, stir in the optional orange liqueur, transfer to a heat-proof plastic or glass bowl and chill completely before serving.
