The Hills Are Alive With The Sound of Wine!

Let’s start out with Zac Brown and his Pinot Noir – Uncaged. This Pinot Noir has a taste of ripe strawberries, cherries and plums with a hint of vanilla on the finish. Zac Brown is committed to sustainable wine making. The vineyard uses owls to control pests; not only is that cool but it means that they don’t need to use pesticides that could harm the environment. They build owl nesting boxes to attract these natural exterminators to the vineyard. Give a hoot and don’t pollute with this delicious Pinot Noir!

We also carry two of Dave Mathews Dreaming Tree wines; a Cabernet Sauvignon and Crush red blend . The Cabernet Sauvignon tastes of cherry cola and blackberries with an elegant finish and just a hint of caramel. The Crush is a mix of 54% Merlot, 20% Zinfandel, 18% Petit Sirah and 8% other grapes. The prominent flavor in this wine is blackberry jam with black cherries, a wonderful mouth feel and a surprising taste of dragon fruit on the finish.

Dave Mathew’s vineyard is sustainable as well. Their labels are made with 100% recycled paper and their bottles are a quarter of a pound lighter to better help the environment. Not only do they practice sustainable viticulture, they also donate to various environmental organizations .To date they have donated $500,000 to many great organizations such as The Wilderness Society and Living Lands & Waters.

So whether you are looking for a wine too enjoy before your favorite musician comes to SPAC or just celebrating Earth day this April 22nd, why not enjoy one of these sustainable, earth friendly wines!
