Fresh Jumbo Artichokes – An artichoke is a flower bud that is harvested before it blooms. Because you eat the heart of the flower and not the outer leaves, the bigger the artichoke, the more heart you get to eat. The best and biggest artichokes in the world grow in Salinas, California and they are in season now, these are some of the biggest you’ll see all year.

Organic Asparagus–Asparagus has a season like any other vegetable, and currently it happens to be in season from Mexico, where they grow some of the finest. Look for snappy, bright bunches with tight tops, and avoid any that look wrinkly, yellowy, or have dark spots on the top leaves.

Organic Blueberries – Blueberry (in season, new crop) pints are in season from South America, bringing some brightness to our wintry climate. They are exceptionally good when paired with bright citrus flavors like lemon or orange in baking and cooking, making them a great pick this time of year!
