Apple Pie Filling
- 8 cups peeled and sliced apples
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 2 TB lemon juice
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
Our classic apple pie filling.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Let sit about 15 minutes, or until apples start to juice out a little. Fill 9”-10”pie plate lined with pie dough with filling and top with top crust. Overlap and seal edges. Cut a few slits in the top of the pie to allow steam to escape. Bake in a 425°F oven for 40-45 minutes. Cover edges of crust with foil if browning too quickly.
