Bachan’s Burgers

• 2 tsp white vinegar

• 2 tbsp sugar

• 1 cucumber, sliced thin

• Kosher salt and black pepper

1/4 cup Bashans Hot and Spicy BBQ Sauce 

• 3 tbsp chopped scallions

• 2 cloves garlic, minced

• 1/2 cup mayonnaise

• 1.5 tsp roasted sesame oil

• 1 lb ground beef

• 2 slices American cheese

• Burger buns

• Butter lettuce, thinly sliced 

red onions

In a small bowl, combine vinegar, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon sugar, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Add cucumbers and toss to coat.

Get your grill going! In a small bowl, combine tamari, Bachan’s Hot & Spice BBQ Sauce, scallions, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and 2 tablespoons sugar. Mix well.  Transfer 1 tablespoon of the marinade to a small bowl and stir in mayonnaise and 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil.

In a medium bowl, gently mix beef and 3 tablespoons of the scallion marinade. Form into patties. Brush both sides tops with the marinade. Grill!

To serve, drain any liquid from the cucumbers and mix in 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Top the burgers with cheese and lettuce.  Generously dose the cut side of the buns with that amazing marinade.  Extra cucumber on the side! Wow….these are amazing!
