Cream Cheese Pound Cake

  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 12 oz butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt

Sift together the two flours.  In the bowl of a large stand mixer cream the butter until light and fluffy.  Add the cream cheese and combine until fluffy.  Add the sugar and mix until pale.  Add the vanilla and salt.  Add the eggs one at a time, incorporating each before adding the next.   On low speed, add the flour and mix until just combined.  Bake at 325º until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
