Edible Ornaments- Peppermint Ornaments

This is just pure fun!

1 pack candy canes or peppermint candies

4 cookie cutters


Line a baking sheet with a silicon baking mat or waxed paper.  Place the un-wrapped candies in a ziplock bag and pound them with a rolling pin until they are all broken into small pieces.  Place 4 cookie cutters on the lined sheet and fill them with the crushed candies.  Bake at 350°F for 7-10 minutes or until the candy melts.  Remove and cool for two minutes.  Using a toothpick make a hold in the top for the string to go through.  Let cool completely before unmolding.
