Fire Cider

-1/2 horseradish root; shredded

-1/2 cup turmeric; shredded or diced small (optional)

-1/4 cup fresh ginger; diced small or shredded

-1 medium onion; quartered

-1/3 cup garlic cloves; crushed

-2 jalapenos; cut into rounds

-1 habanero; cut in half

-1 grapefruit; quartered and then quarters shaved thin

-1 lemon; quartered and then quarters shaved thin

-1 orange; quartered and then quarters shaved thin

-1 tsp black peppercorns

-3 cups cider vinegar; make it good quality- it matters- Braggs is good

-1/3 cup good local honey

Put all ingredients into a glass jar. Cap it and put it in a safe place. Flip every day for 3-6 weeks. Strain and jar. Its got tons of acid so its shelf stable for years. Take a teaspoon with each meal when sick OR use it in a dirty pickle martini just because!
