Simple Roasted Garlic
4 heads garlic
Olive oil
Kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper
Preheat your oven to 375°F. Prepare the garlic by slicing the top off each head exposing the garlic cloves. Place the garlic on a large sheet of aluminum foil and drizzle them generously with olive oil, making sure the oil sinks down into the crevices of the garlic cloves. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper and fold the foil up making a sealed pocket around the heads of garlic. Place the foil pouch on a baking sheet and place in the oven for about 1 hour or until the garlic is golden brown and tender when pierced with a knife. When garlic is cool it will pop out of the husks and can be spread like butter on bread, pizza, or added to soups and stews.
