Stone Imperial Russian & Espresso Imperial Russian Stouts

They’re here! Stone’s very limited 2013 Classic Release Imperial Russian Stout and their 2013 Odd-Year Release Espresso Imperial Russian Stout.

The Imperial Russian Stout boasts notes of star anise, black currants, coffee and floral hops with a heavy palate. It pours jet black with a deep tan head of foam; a beer that is full-bodied but velvety smooth. This is the same recipe that they have been using since they released their first; tried and true! The Espresso Imperial Russian Stout is similar to the classic version, brewed in the authentic, historical style of an imperial Russian stout, but they have added several hundred pounds of espresso beans; the added espresso beans enhance the naturally occurring coffee flavors of the classic version. It boasts notes of deep, rich espresso flavors that work ever-so-wonderfully with the roasty bitterness of the dark malts, pouring jet black with a deep tan head of foam and is nicely balanced between the strong mocha and chocolate flavors. The best thing about these two beauties? They can be enjoyed fresh, right now, or they can be aged at cellar temperature for many years to come (for you hardcore beer snobs out there…)

But they’re only here at Healthy Living Saratoga for a very limited quantity and time, so swing by and pick up a couple to savor or cellar before they’ve all disappeared!
