Louis Laurent Vouvray
2012
Regular Price: $9.99
Sale Price: $8.99

Maison Nicolas was established in 1822 when it opened its first three stores in Paris.  Until that time, customers who wanted to buy wine brought their jugs to the winemaker, who filled them from a barrel.  Then Nicolas brought forward a revolutionary concept for that time in France: offering wine in a glass bottle sealed with a cork.  This particular wine made by the innovative company is a wonderful expression of the Chenin Blanc varietal.  It has a lovely light yellow straw color and is medium-bodied with aromas of fresh apples and pears.  Well balanced with good acidity and a crisp, gorgeous finish, this wine will please any white wine enthusiast!

Belle Glos Meiomi Pinot Noir
2013
92 pts- Wine Spectator
Regular Price: $29.99
Sale Price: $19.99

The name Meiomi means “coast” in the language of the native, coastal dwelling Wappo and Yuki tribes of California, and pays tribute to the origin of this Pinot Noir which stretches that state’s coast.  Meiomi is a high style Pinot Noir that is shaped, more than anything else, by the fruit sources that lay the foundation of the blend.  Intensely aromatic and packed with earthy and dark fruit flavors, it boasts a long, pleasant finish and is bold enough to stand up to any Thanksgiving fare with more complex or pronounced flavors.  This wine is an instant crowd pleaser and not surprisingly the number one selling Pinot Noir in the country!

Marietta Old Vine Red Lot 62
NV (Non-Vintage)
90 pts- Wine Spectator
Sale Price: $14.99
Regular Price: $15.99

The foundation of Marietta Cellars has always been family and is now owned by Jake and Scott Bilbro, whose father, Chris, started the business over 30 years ago.  Marietta Cellars wines are consistent, concentrated, complex and, most importantly, pleasurable.  Their modern California version of an Old World table wine, Old Vine Red can be enjoyed with food or without, for a special occasion or for simple pleasure.  It’s a non-vintage blend of mostly Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Carignan with small amounts of other varieties included for complexity.  A bright, clean nose of cherries and brambles leads to deeper aromas of pepper and dried lavender and the mouthfeel is seamless and supple, managing to be full yet lively and tart.  Loads of berry fruit balanced with tannin structure lend this rich wine an overall refreshing character.  Lot 62 is ripe, elegant and supremely drinkable.  If you feel you should shy away from Limerick Lane or Bedrock, Marietta is in the same family at a much friendlier price point.

Saint Cosme Côtes du Rhône
2013
Regular Price: $15.99
Sale Price: $13.99

St. Cosme, located north of the village of Gigondas, is the most ancient estate in the region.  The property has been owned and operated by the same family since 1490 and they have been vignerons for 14 generations.  Their focus is to produce wines which express their terroir with purity and personality, and this bottle is excellent on both accounts.  The prime levels of ripening reached here in 2014 are almost surreal given the vintage.  Hints of black cherry, wild blueberry, and licorice flavors balanced by baking spice notes, smooth acidity, and a pronounced though not distracting level of alcohol (14%). This is a very unique and intense wine.
